PRO LINE ROCKERS
The PRO LINE ROCKERS program, begun by Coach Al Mac and continued by Coaches Rich Sanfillippo and Gene Mugler, enables kids and adults to play in a band.
We do most of the work...we put people of similar skill levels together in a band, choose material, provide a rehearsal space and equipment, provide a coach to put the songs together, and arrange a catered party at a real nightclub to present the group in performance.
Wow! All the students need to do is learn the songs and practice...and get as many friends and family members as possible to attend the party!
This program has been an enormous success and the participants all love it. Many have done it several times. Not only is it great fun, but there is so much to be learned from being part of a musical "team"....playing in a band is different than playing alone.
And a whole lot more exciting!
